Ashley Angell, Chris Saad (Faraday Media) and Jon Cianciullo (Cluztr) join me to discuss APML, OpenAuth, OpenSocial and how we are moving towards open data sharing.

The sound is spotty at times, but it’s an interesting and at times fun discussion on something I always thought to be a fairly dry topic.

    Great talk!!! :)

    I loved the insights brought by all the participants!

    Indeed, it seems everyone is going crazy about Facebook and OpenSocial when in fact they’re just “widget frameworks”.
    I agree that the real important change will be towards a point where “we” own our data. :)
    As for OpenSocial being a point in the right direction, I’m not so positive about it. It’s just dragging lots of manpower to the very limited world of contained “social applications”. Taking a step back from all the media hype would help developers get their thoughts strait and who knows if “the real important change” might not just come sooner than we expect. :)
