I loved the insights brought by all the participants!

Indeed, it seems everyone is going crazy about Facebook and OpenSocial when in fact they're just "widget frameworks".
I agree that the real important change will be towards a point where "we" own our data. :)
As for OpenSocial being a point in the right direction, I'm not so positive about it. It's just dragging lots of manpower to the very limited world of contained "social applications". Taking a step back from all the media hype would help developers get their thoughts strait and who knows if "the real important change" might not just come sooner than we expect. :)
